As a member for the National Collaborative for Infants and Toddlers—a coalition comprised of more than 2,500 local, state, and national organizations representing business leaders, pediatricians, child care providers, parents, state and local officials, advocates, and researchers—Groundwork Ohio knows that our nation needs bold leadership in order to secure the futures of our youngest children.


We invite you to join us in signing on to an open letter from the National Collaborative for Infants and Toddlers, laying out a united vision for increased investments in prenatal-to-three issues in 2022 and beyond. By signing on, we demonstrate our commitment as individuals and a collective to educate the public and raise awareness about the urgent priorities that support pregnant people and families with children under 3.

Our team is continuing to grow! Groundwork Ohio is now seeking applications for an exciting new role as Director of the Center for Early Learning! Applications are due Wednesday, March 9, 2022.


The Center for Early Learning at Groundwork Ohio is dedicated to building strong foundations for young children and preparing Ohio for a better future by transforming systems that advance early learning, promote equity, and prioritize prevention. Through policy development, research, data analysis, and collaboration, the Center for Early Learning engages diverse stakeholders to advance early learning policies and systems.


The Director of the Center for Early Learning will oversee Center activities and drive the Center’s work to improve outcomes for young children and their families.

WATCH: Central Ohio Leaders Discuss the Toll of the Child Care Crisis

ICYMI: Earlier this week, Groundwork Ohio President & CEO Shannon Jones joined central Ohio leaders for a discussion on the toll the child care crisis and COVID-19 pandemic are taking on families, early educators, communities, and the economy.


The conversation, hosted by The Columbus Dispatch, illustrated the challenges working parents, child care professionals, and Ohio businesses are facing due to the child care crisis. As a recent statewide poll from Groundwork Ohio revealed, access to quality, affordable child care is an economic issue.
