Advocacy Challenge Day 2: Schedule a Meeting with Your Policymaker

Groundwork Ohio works to educate key decision makers about the importance of quality early learning and healthy development as the most transformative strategy to increase the life-long success of Ohio's children and lay a strong foundation for economic prosperity in our state. For day 2 of our advocacy challenge, we are asking you to schedule a short meeting with your Ohio House representative using our simple form.

Your voice makes the difference. Meeting with your policymakers will carry the greatest weight as we advocate for brighter futures. Legislators and their staff members want to hear from you and learn more about how issues such as child care and infant and maternal health have impacted you individually. Your personal story matters.

We hope you will join us in calling on members of the Ohio General Assembly to do the right thing for young children, families, small businesses, and our communities by investing in Ohio’s youngest kids.

Schedule a 15-minute meeting with your Ohio House member or their staff by submitting a meeting request using our simple form.

Read our case for support to help prepare you for your legislative meeting.

Watch this video explaining why high-quality early childhood experiences matter.

We appreciate your time and commitment to advocating for young children. Each day, 5 participating individuals will be randomly chosen to receive a $25 electronic gift card via email. At the end of the week, we will randomly choose one individual to receive a mini library package with 10 children's books featured in our Book Recommendations for Young Learners resource. (Note: State policymakers, legislative staff, executive agency staff, and state employees will not be included in the random drawing and are not eligible to receive a reward.)
