Medicaid

A lifeline for Ohio children and families.

Three million children and adults here in Ohio depend on Medicaid. That includes nearly half of Ohio’s children under age six, and over 50% of young children in many rural and Appalachian counties who depend on Medicaid for access to basic health care.

Medicaid is a lifeline for Ohio children and families—and it’s personal. Please take a moment to watch this short video featuring Whitney and Deanna, two Ohio moms who share how Medicaid has helped their families thrive:

Medicaid covers more than HALF of all Ohio births.

It provides critical prenatal and postpartum care for mothers, therapies and medical equipment for children with disabilities, and mental health care for families.

It also supports the child care workforce, with 30% of providers relying on Medicaid for their own coverage.

Ohio Families.

This is about protecting the health and the future of our youngest Ohioans—and the hardworking families who are raising them.
