Week of June 14th Round-Up

Take Action to Save Quality Child Care

Throughout the state budget process, Groundwork Ohio, our partners, and early childhood advocates throughout the state have been working hard to ensure more Ohio children and their families have access to quality child care and early learning. That's why we are fighting hard to stop a proposal from the Ohio Senate that would dismantle Step Up To Quality and jeopardize Ohio's quality child care system. We need your help to save quality child care.

We're calling on early childhood professionals and advocates like you to contact your state legislators and speak out against the Senate's dangerous proposal to end Step Up To Quality. If you support quality child care and early learning for Ohio's infants and toddlers, now is the time to take action!

Infants and toddlers don't have a voice at the statehouse, but you do. Time is running out to save quality child care in Ohio, as we expect a final version of the state budget to be voted on by the middle of next week.

After you take action, encourage your friends, family, neighbors, and others to contact their state legislators! You can download our advocacy toolkit to help get the message out to members of your community.

Ohio Advocates Convene for an Urgent Call to Action to Save Child Care

On the webinar, a unified front of child care advocates and professionals explained how the Ohio Senate's damaging language on child care in the state budget would impact young children, their families, and the early childhood education workforce.

During the event, Groundwork Ohio also shared how early childhood advocates like you can take action to protect Step Up To Quality and quality child care in Ohio. Missed the webinar? Click the button below to watch the recording.
