Thank you for joining us to celebrate 20 years of impact!
On October 30, 2024, Groundwork Ohio celebrated a significant milestone in its journey to advance the well-being of Ohio’s youngest children, marking two decades of dedicated advocacy with a special luncheon at the Ohio Statehouse. The event brought together over 200 attendees, including policymakers, business leaders, early childhood professionals, and community advocates, to celebrate the organization’s far-reaching impact on early childhood policies across Ohio.
Founded in 2004, Groundwork Ohio has been a transformative force in promoting equitable access to quality early childhood education, healthcare, and family support. Throughout its 20-year history, the organization has actively engaged with policymakers to drive investments in children from birth to age five, with the goal of improving school readiness and long-term outcomes for Ohio’s youngest residents.
Inaugural Groundbreaker Award
During the luncheon, Groundwork Ohio honored its co-founders,
Marcia Egbert and Margaret Hulbert,
with the inaugural Groundbreaker Awards. These awards celebrated their visionary leadership and the foundation they laid for the organization’s mission.
