Candidate Forums

2008 groundWork Candidates’ Forum

Please join groundWork and 80 other local sponsors for a special opportunity to ask State House and Senate candidates in your area how they will support early care and education issues – including health, mental health, kindergarten, preschool, child care, and other issues important to young children.

The forum is free, but seating is limited. Register today!

The Audience
In 2006, hundreds of Childcare Providers, Teachers, Parents, Community Leaders, and Advocates attended – so be sure to RSVP today! Candidate forums not only provide you the opportunity to interact with candidates, but also provide a wonderful networking opportunity to meet other early childhood advocates in your area!

The Forum
Each candidate will have the opportunity to introduce themselves. Each candidate will then be given a question to answer. Written questions from the audience will be collected by volunteers prior to the start of the forum and throughout the forum, as applicable. There will be no debate among candidates, and all questions will be delivered by the Moderator. Each candidate will then have the opportunity to provide closing remarks.

The Candidates
All candidates from Ohio’s House and Senate Districts that are up for election in 2008 have been invited to this event. Over 35 candidates have already RSVPed that they will be attending.

Our Sponsors

Don’t miss this special opportunity to hear what this year’s Ohio House & Senate candidates have to say about early care and education.

This is a non-partisan event and does not reflect endorsement of any candidate or political party by its sponsors.
