Katie Kelly groundWork Director
Katie Kelly joined the campaign staff in 2004 with more than eight years of experience in advocacy and service organizations. In her current role, Ms. Kelly also serves as a Public Policy Fellow at The Center for Community Solutions. Ms. Kelly is a graduate of John Carroll University with degrees in Sociology and Political Science and City Year Cleveland.
David Howard groundWork Field Director
David Howard brings thirty years of experience in urban planning, political organizing, and business planning and development. Mr. Howard is responsible for the organization of the field campaign. Mr. Howard was formerly the Assistant Director of the Charlotte-Meclenberg Planning Commission (NC), where he provided management for all planning activities in inter-agency coordination. In 2004, Mr. Howard also educated and organized 5,000 voters and managed hundred of volunteers for the presidential campaign.
Susan Deardowski Campaign Operations Coordinator
Susan Deardowski is the groundWork Operations Coordinator, and a Policy and Planning Assistant at The Center for Community Solutions. Ms. Deardowski was previously the Government Relations Associate for the National Association of Social Workers, Ohio Chapter, and has experience working with a multitude of political and non-profit organizations. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work Degree from The Ohio State University.
Jennifer Prather Campaign Field Coordinator
Jennifer Prather is currently the groundWork Coordinator for Field Outreach and a Policy and Planning Assistant at The Center for Community Solutions. Prior to joining groundWork, Jennifer was the Program and Evaluation Manager at The Center for Lobbying in the Public Interest (CLPI) in Washington, D.C. where she developed curriculum and trained on the rules surrounding nonprofit advocacy and lobbying. Ms. Prather also worked on child and family policy as the Program Coordinator for the Children and Families program at The Packard Foundation and an intern for a ranking member of the U.S. House of Representatives. She is a graduate of The University of California at Berkeley and holds a master’s degree from the Georgetown University Public Policy Institute.
